Green Waste Collections Restarted after Winter Break
Following the winter break, garden waste uplifts have restarted and will remain free of charge until July, when garden waste collections will become a paid for service.
The Lib Dem council group leader has asked the EDC chief executive and the council leader to consider an uplift extension period. It follows on from delays with permits and their processing resulting in some East Dunbartonshire residents having their green bins left uncollected despite having paid for permits not yet received.
This has come about because Susan Murray MP and the Liberal Democrat councillors have received a high volume of complaints following on from angry and frustrated residents that have paid for their permits some time ago.
We will update further when we have more information.
