The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill being further scrutinised will promote a rigorous debate on end of life care, which is why I voted for it to proceed to the next stage.

It is also a golden opportunity to begin a more wide-ranging discussion of the need for wider access to palliative care, which many people have told me is key to their thinking on this difficult topic.

Liberal Democrats will push this discussion forward and I will continue to engage with my constituents in Mid Dunbartonshire, whom I encourage to contact me with their views and opinions.
