Local police stations are not just symbols of the police in our communities, they also provide a vital set of administrative and welfare facilities for officers and staff

Closing the stations in Milngavie and Bishopbriggs will mean lost time as officers forced to spend more time travelling, with a negative knock-on effect on local policing and less efficient use of police time and resources.

If these stations must close, alternative provision must be made for police officers, particularly in the west of Mid Dunbartonshire, so that they can continue to do their jobs effectively.
