SNP and Labour hike East Dunbartonshire council tax by 9.5%
The SNP and Labour tax hike of 9.5% on top of 13.2% last year is an unacceptable 23% in two years. The Lib Dems proposed an alternative budget with an increase of only 6.5% instead.

Adam Harley, local campaigner and Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Strathkelvin and Bearsden, has launched a petition calling on East Dunbartonshire Council to reinstate school crossing patrols on busy roads outside primary schools.
Adam Harley, Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Strathkelvin & Bearsden has today criticised the decision by Santander to shut a number of branches including their branch in Kirkintilloch, which is set to close on April 29th 2026.
