Susan Murray MP

A local update from your Liberal Democrat MP for Mid Dunbartonshire, Susan Murray. On this week's update, changes to the Scottish Government's Pension Age Winter Heating Payment and meeting with the local health board.

WINTER FUEL SUPPORT

We learned this week that the Scottish Government's  Pension Age Winter Heating Payment will not be universal, and will instead be means-tested in line with the UK Government Winter Fuel Payment.

I am concerned that pensioners in Mid Dunbartonshire will not have the time and support they need to deal with this change and I have urged both the Scottish and UK Governments to take action.

MEETING THE HEALTH BOARD

This week, I met with representatives from our local health board to discuss the urgent need for a health and care centre for Milngavie and Bearsden.

Our conversation was informative and I look forward to continuing to work together to deliver the services and facilities our community deserves.
